Questions

What are the targets for my performance indicators?

Answer:

The British economist Charles Goodhart wrote

“Any observed statistical regularity will tend to collapse once pressure is placed upon it for control purposes.”

This eventually came to be known as Goodhart’s law. Put another way, it says that once you make a measure into a target, it loses its usefulness as a measure.

So for now, I’m just going to pay attention to the indicators, knowing full well that just watching them is going to have some influence on my behaviour.
